Uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death from a trauma.  Traumatic Injuries with severe bleeding result in approximately 60,000 fatalities per year.  Rapid response and treatment of these injuries (within 3-5 minutes) is critical to positive outcomes.
